Here are the articles I reprinted this week:
Hello everyone! This week I reviewed Shotgun Wedding #3 on Comic Frontline. I'm still planning on reviewing Batman: The Dark Knight #28, so stay tuned. Here are the articles I reprinted this week: Moriarty: The Dark Chamber #3 Review "Moriarty has quickly gone in a bad direction. The art, while definitely standing out on the shelf, does so mostly in a bad way and not in the innovative way the first and even second issue managed to create. The story is also slightly confusing and strays from the noir feel to a more scientific approach that feels misplaced in this tale. Moriarty’s development has nearly come to a stand-still, but his character and interactions with Jade make up for it." Cyber Force Returns "To celebrate the popular series Cyber Force's twentieth anniversary, the series will be returning in October 2012. Even better than the team's return?"

Hello everyone. No new articles this week but I have more planned, including reviews of Shotgun Wedding #3 and Batman: The Dark Knight #28. Here are the articles I reprinted this week: Moriarty: The Dark Chamber #2 Review"Moriarty: The Dark Chamber #1 was a deeply intellectual piece of work with its fair share of flaws keeping it from being a classic. This issue of Moriarty seems to expand the flaws but still leaves some material that is very good. Moriarty: The Dark Chamber #2 is mostly one step away from being bad and fails to stand out when compared to its predecessor – but it does manage to have some enjoyable things, even though they could have been utilized better." Elephantmen #31 Review "A perfect jumping on point and a new story for fans are rolled into one in this issue of Elephantmen, along with several flaws. The fan service is not as strong as the series urges to hook new readers the same way Image did by reprinting the first issue of Elephantmen #1. This issue may have more flaws and less of an emotional impact than that issue, but it has its moments."
Hello everyone. I covered some very important news about how you can help fund research towards pancreatic cancer with Burn the Orphanage: Reign of Terror. Learn how you can help here. I also interviewed Marisa Stotter, the director and producer of the documentary "She Makes Comics." Read my full interview with her on Comic Frontline. This week I changed up some of the news categories. I created a Miscellaneous News category which included publishers that only had one news story, such as Amigo Comics and Actuality Press, so the News page is a bit more condensed. Also, here are the articles I've reprinted this week: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 Review "Finally, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back – and they're better than ever! The story by Kevin Eastman (co-creator of TMNT) and Tom Waltz is great. It's perfect for new fans, with a lot of fan service for older fans, and the art is solid. There are only minor complaints, but this comic is a real gem with tons of callbacks to satisfy any TMNT fan." Deathstroke #18 Review "Last time, Deathstroke took on a bunch of ninjas and battled in a unique and entertaining location. This time... Deathstroke takes on a bunch of ninjas and battles in a unique and entertaining location. Not only does Deathstroke #18 pick up right where Deathstroke #17 left off, it goes through the same motions with a couple minute differences. "
Hey everybody! Hope you're all having a wonderful week. This week I reviewed Shotgun Wedding #2 and wrote a news story about "Batman Day" on Comic Frontline, so please check those out. Expect to see the rest of Shotgun Wedding reviewed in the future. Here are the articles I reprinted this week: Lobo: Highway to Hell #1 Review "I've always been a huge fan of the "smooth" talking and quick fragging Lobo. I picked up the first part of Lobo: Highway to Hell at a convention for 50 cents and read it the minute I got out of there. Unfortunately, it failed almost all of my expectations. Lobo didn't have as many funny moments as he usually does and the story is not a highway to hell, but a highway to a bad story that is so simplistic it becomes unentertaining. The only redeeming quality is the artwork, which is the best work I've ever seen on a Lobo title." The End is Nigh... The End Times of Bram and Ben, that is! "The Rapture has come and gone in my most anticipated mini-series of January 2013, The End Times of Bram and Ben. The blessed have been taken to heaven, along with Bram, a self-centered sinner who went to heaven only because of a clerical error. Now, Bram is back on earth and he is the only one who knows what heaven looks like. With some help from his morally conflicted roommate Ben, Bram will try to get some ambition in his life. Hopefully without their friendship – or the world – ending." D'Agostino: Death of an Artist "John P. "Jon" D'Agostino Sr., passed away on November 28th of bone cancer. Jon was a comic book artist that started working in the 1940s as a head colorist at Timely Comics (know now as Marvel Comics). His mentor was the legendary Stan Lee. Jon worked on various titles including Sonic the Hedgehog, The Amazing Spider-man and Sabrina the Teenage Witch. He is best known for his work on Archie Comics. He was always happy to help artists improve their craft."
Hey everybody! I hope everyone had a great week. I've been extremely busy lately, but I did write a news story about Amazon's controversial handling of the comiXology app on Comic Frontline. Expect to see a review of Shotgun Wedding #2 and news about DC Comics in the future. Here are the articles I reprinted this week: Evil Ernie #1 Review "Ernie Fairchild killed 665 people. How he did this is surprisingly realistic but horror hounds expecting a blood fest of 665 people will be disappointed. But while their deaths are never seen, only mentioned, fear not - there is much satisfying blood to be spilled in Evil Ernie #1 and a great origin story that promises fun if you're into gore galore." Revival of Chaos! Comics "Dynamite Entertainment is bringing back an entire universe filled with popular horror characters from the past including the undead serial killer Evil Ernie, the vampire and punk-rock assassin Chastity, the goddess of the vampires Purgatori and the supernatural band of misfits known as The Omen. Yes, Dynamite Entertainment is bring back Chaos! Comics."
