(on comiXology) Adrien tries to help his friend Nino out with his crush… Marinette! Unfortunately, there’s a mix-up and Marinette thinks Adrien is the one asking her out to the zoo. Things get even worse when the zookeeper, Otis, transforms into Animan. Now with the ability to shapeshift into any animal, Animan goes after Marinette’s classmate Kim. Will Ladybug and Cat Noir save him in time?
Yes, this month marked the release of Miraculous Adventures #1, which is my first time writing an original script (based on a story by Bryan Seaton). Previously, I only adapted episodes already on TV, so I'm really happy to be able to add a new story to the world of Miraculous - in its very first original illustrated comic book no less! Please check it out and I hope you enjoy it. If you do pick it up, leave a comment below letting me know what you thought of it!
And thanks for the great review from The Broken Infinite, who said: "Honestly, I'd feel confident in handing this issue to just about everybody to read. This comic was much better than expected and I feel a step in the right direction for Miraculous Ladybug in the comics medium."
And here's another adaptation I helped with that came out in July:
My articles from the month of July include:
"This week we’re showcasing the deluxe edition of Plague Doktor. Be transported to 13th century England during The Black Death. The writer and artist both spoke to me about their inspirations for the series and some unique historical facts."
"The legend of Prometheus continues in this new comic book series. Follow him as he journeys through the modern day, John Wick style!"
"This year marks the first ever Ghost City Comics Competition! This contest was made in the hopes of providing indie comic creators with a new outlet to show their work to the world, have it read and reviewed by industry professionals and receive prizes."
"Today the recurring WOMEN OF MARVEL panel discussion continued at the San Diego Comic Con. It was led by Marvel's content development director Sana Amanat and producer Judy Stephens. Alongside several panelists, they discussed working in the comic book industry as a woman and what this means for the future of the industry."
"This week we’re showcasing a digital anthology set in a world where people can’t form new memories. Transience has 56-pages filled with stories from writers and illustrations from artists located around the world. Learn more about this project from the creators and collaborators themselves. Plus exclusives pages from the anthology!"
