Here are the articles I reprinted this week:
Hey everybody! Hope you're enjoying your December. I recently did an interview with Brian Apodaca (Zombie Outlaw) on Entertainment Fuse so please check that out here. More to come! Here are the articles I reprinted this week: Best Comic Book Covers of 2012 "I’ve almost forgotten about all the good covers of 2012 because some amazing covers have been coming out in 2013 that may have to fight for a place on my Best Covers list next year. But there were a lot of impressive covers last year… both creepy and cute!" Garth Ennis and FURY MAX "Back in 2001, Marvel's MAX comics, a line for mature readers, was launched. Behind Nick Fury's Fury series under the new mature MAX line were Preacher writer Garth Ennis and Transmetropolitan artist Darick Robertson. Now, Ennis has returned to the mature series eleven years after the beginning."

I hope everyone is having a happy holiday! I recently posted my first news story on Comic Frontline about an anonymous donor giving to a Comics & Cartoons study program. Please check it out here. Also learn about The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman's latest series in my recent news story on Entertainment Fuse here. Here are the articles I reprinted this week: Grimm Fairy Tales: The Dream Eater Saga: Wonderland Part 4 Review "This is a good starting point for new readers and old readers alike with an interesting storyline. There are some interesting and downright boring moments and characters and artwork balancing a thin line between mediocre and great." The Li'l Depressed Boy #2 Review "Geek heaven comes in this package of creativity with a mixture of humor in the second issue of The Li’l Depressed Boy. There is not a compelling story or even memorable art, but the characters and constant humor are great for taking your mind off of a stressful day and doing what was meant to be done with a comic: laughing hysterically while forgetting the rest of the world exists before turning to the last page and realizing you have to wait another month to enjoy the next issue of Li’l Depressed Boy."
Not much to say this week other than happy holidays everyone! If you're keeping up with my current stuff, get in the spirit by reading my latest news story about Santa's arch-enemy getting his own series. Also, be on the lookout for my upcoming review of Batman #23.1 (also known as Joker #1). Here are the articles I reprinted this week: Grimm Coming to Comics"I wasn't shocked when I heard the popular NBC title Grimm was going to become a comic book and have graphic novels. I didn't know that NBC had already started pitching Grimm to Dynamite Entertainment from Season One to become a comic book, but waiting until the second season when the mythology built up to get a license for a proposal to Dynamite offering an aggressive creative, financial, and marketing plan. No, I wasn't shocked because after seeing the Grimm TV show advertised in the back of every other comic book with comic book artwork, I'd mistaken the show for a comic book several times over before finding out what it was. For the record, if the artwork looks anything like it does in the ad I shouldn't be complaining." DC Announces April 2013 Cancellations "DC has gained and lost several books like clockwork since they re-launched all of their books with the New 52. We've lost titles before that had the potential to be great, like Blackhawks and Static Shock during an initial cancellation of six books. Now, several more titles are being axed by DC." MonkeyBrain Goes to Print "MonkeyBrain began as a digital-first comic book publisher back in 2012 that was liked by readers and critics alike. They released creator-owned comics on the comiXology platform, which is the most popular digital comics website. However, if you don't want to get MonkeyBrain comics for your phone, tablet, digital reader or computer this summer of 2013 you will no longer have to worry – because some of MonkeyBrain's comics are making the jump to print! These titles include..."
