Here are the articles I reprinted this week:
Happy Friday everyone! It was hectic for me this week but next week expect it to be Kickstarted! Here are the articles I reprinted this week: "This weekend would have been Whitney Houston’s fiftieth birthday had she not sadly passed away. To pay tribute to the singer, Bluewater Productions has published a comic book about the singer’s life." "Mark Waid wishes he'd thought of this. No, really, it says so right on the cover. And after reading this surprise gem I wish I'd thought of it too."

I kickstarted the week twice with Year of the Goat and The Forever Maps. If you have a Kickstarter and are interested in being interviewed, please comment below and I will try to get in touch with you. Here is the article I reprinted this week: Hack/Slash Finale"It has been almost a decade since Tim Seeley (Witchblade writer) released his independent slasher comic Hack/Slash. Now, the series is unfortunately coming to a close. I have such fond memories of the series… killer animals that would make PETA mad… a guy with a Jack O’ Lantern head… and of course, the two entertaining protagonists and monster hunters Vlad and Cassie. I haven’t been reading the series in a while so the series feels even shorter for me than it actually is. "
Spent Saturday at the NJCA conference at Saint Peter's University presenting my paper on Female Fans’ Interpretation of the Sexual Objectification of Women in Comics. Possible write-up coming soon on my day there. I actually didn't think to include a write-up but someone was nice enough to ask about it on twitter so... there may be one coming soon. This week my "Best/Worst Comic Book Covers" list for the month of March had a change of website. I posted it on Comic Frontline. I also posted an Indiegogo the Week(end) for Samsara Saga, my first time showcasing an Indiegogo project to start the weekend! Here is the article I reprinted this week: ARK Book One Review"ARK is a 140 page graphic novel published by Arcana Studio. Yes, 140 pages. You won't be reading this all during your coffee break. But you may find it hard to put down."
Happy holiday(?) weekend everyone! The month of March has come to an end, but are we really done celebrating women? This week the comic book section on Entertainment Fuse honored Women's History Month by talking about some inspirational female comic book characters. There was also another one listing some inspirational female comic book creators. This week I also wrote on Comic Frontline about IDW Publishing adapting Richard Matheson's The Shrinking Man. Then I posted another edition of "Kickstart the Week" for The F1rst Hero Volume 2. Happy #4 Review: An Unhappy But Entertaining New Year"Again, be wary all ye who enter. This title is for mature readers only, with an emphasis on mature. It takes place during Christmas, there's a church, a pedophile and a lot of cursing: a cornucopia of material that some people can find sensitive. So with the standard warning out of the way, cover your kids' eyes and delve into a realm that isn't very happy. "
