I also visited Avengers Station in NYC this past weekend which I am planning on writing about soon. Expect much more material from me in the coming weeks!
Here are the articles I reprinted this week:
Sorry for the lack of updates this week. I have begun my summer vacation and have been trying to get some projects that have been long put-off back on track. Specifically, organizing my comic collection and not goofing off on Youtube, Twitch or playing Puzzle & Dragons... of courses not! I also visited Avengers Station in NYC this past weekend which I am planning on writing about soon. Expect much more material from me in the coming weeks! Here are the articles I reprinted this week: X #3 Review: More X-plicit Imagery Review"The reason I loved the last issue of X despite it’s flaws was because of the gore, the intriguing character of X and the laughable stupidity of Leigh. This issue there’s more blood, more X awesomeness, less stupidity on Leigh’s part and some horrible puns." Action Lab's Double Jumpers Goes Digital on comiXology"First, Action Lab Entertainment put their all-ages fantastical and comedic Princeless on the digital shelves of comiXology. Now, their strikingly different Double Jumpers has hit the digital stand."

This time I Kickstarted the Week with Hooligan Alley Comics! I also Kickstarted the Weekend with Broken Frontier's 250 page anthology comic featuring 40 creators including Greg Pak (Action Comics) and Cullen Bunn (Deadpool). If you're interested in having your Kickstarter project feature on Kickstart the Week, please message me. I also created a new page on Comic Maven's Archives simply called Quotes. I wanted to have a special page to showcase the comics that were kind enough to feature a quote from your truly on them. Here are the articles I reprinted this week: You Missed that Issue?! Rex, the Zombie Killer One-Shot"Welcome to another addition of “You Missed that Issue?!” where I talk spoiler-heavy about a comic book you’ve probably never heard of but should definitely pick-up! This week we have a one-shot, Rex, Zombie Killer, which recently spawned a mini-series." Batman Incorporated #11 Review: No One was Sober During the Making of this Comic"I picked a good time to accidentally have this title added to my pull-list. This issue may not satisfy ongoing readers of the series, but as the one and only issue for me I’m more than satisfied by the bonkers storyline and enjoyable bunch of characters."
This time I did a Kickstart the Week for Molly Danger Book Two. See an immortal ten-year-old girl save the day! Bruce Wayne - Road Home: Outsiders #1 Review"This is probably the shoddiest stone paving the road of Bruce Wayne – The Road Home. It does not further the story and the art is nothing special. It is a rather mediocre tale that is a bit of a let down from previous Batman one-shots, not that they were fantastic to begin with. It is sad this story turned out so poorly since it was so well foreshadowed in Bruce Wayne – Road Home: Red Robin #1 (such 'creative' names, by the way). The Insider comes to Markovia to visit his old team, the Outsiders. He sets up a false assassination attempt on Prince Brion to test them and gets a bit more than he bargained for when they mistake him for the assassin." Nicolas Cage's Stolen Comic Found"Nearly a decade ago Nicolas Cage's prized possession, an original copy of Action Comics #1 worth $1.5 million because it was Superman's first appearance, was stolen from him. The comic book was recently found in a storage locker in San Fernando Valley." Reality Check #3 Review: Releasing the Devil-Inside"I’ve never seen a Batman-inspired comic book character come out of his creator’s head bust such lousy dance moves and I think that’s why I have been enjoying Reality Check so much. Writer Glen Brunswick (Non-Humans) is brimming with unique ideas and he puts them to good use here."
This time I kickstarted the week with E.X.O. - The Legend of Wale Williams Part One. I also posted my interviews with the writing team of Chess-Masters. This was originally a Kickstart the Week but then the comic was picked up by a publisher and was no longer on Kickstarter. I decided to take a break from doing the monthly Best/Worst Comic Book Covers feature since it hasn't gotten much of a response. I also enjoyed writing it yearly a lot more than monthly. So keep your choices in mind for the end of 2015! Here is the article I reprinted this week: Army of Darkness Meets Hack/Slash"A while ago I talked about how Hack/Slash, after 25 issues with Image Comics, ended with their "Finale." But the creator of the horror cult favorite Tim Seeley mentioned it wouldn't be the last time we would see Hack/Slash protagonist Cassie Hack. With this announcement of an Army of Darkness and Hack/Slash crossover, Seeley's words ring true. Better yet, the crossover will be written by none other than Seeley himself."
