Here are the articles I reprinted this week:
Hey everybody! Hope you're all having a wonderful week. This week I reviewed Shotgun Wedding #2 and wrote a news story about "Batman Day" on Comic Frontline, so please check those out. Expect to see the rest of Shotgun Wedding reviewed in the future. Here are the articles I reprinted this week: Lobo: Highway to Hell #1 Review "I've always been a huge fan of the "smooth" talking and quick fragging Lobo. I picked up the first part of Lobo: Highway to Hell at a convention for 50 cents and read it the minute I got out of there. Unfortunately, it failed almost all of my expectations. Lobo didn't have as many funny moments as he usually does and the story is not a highway to hell, but a highway to a bad story that is so simplistic it becomes unentertaining. The only redeeming quality is the artwork, which is the best work I've ever seen on a Lobo title." The End is Nigh... The End Times of Bram and Ben, that is! "The Rapture has come and gone in my most anticipated mini-series of January 2013, The End Times of Bram and Ben. The blessed have been taken to heaven, along with Bram, a self-centered sinner who went to heaven only because of a clerical error. Now, Bram is back on earth and he is the only one who knows what heaven looks like. With some help from his morally conflicted roommate Ben, Bram will try to get some ambition in his life. Hopefully without their friendship – or the world – ending." D'Agostino: Death of an Artist "John P. "Jon" D'Agostino Sr., passed away on November 28th of bone cancer. Jon was a comic book artist that started working in the 1940s as a head colorist at Timely Comics (know now as Marvel Comics). His mentor was the legendary Stan Lee. Jon worked on various titles including Sonic the Hedgehog, The Amazing Spider-man and Sabrina the Teenage Witch. He is best known for his work on Archie Comics. He was always happy to help artists improve their craft."
