Coming soon: A review on Batman: Arkham Knight and a Kickstart the Week for Black Suit of Death #1.
Here is the article I reprinted this week:
On Entertainment Fuse this week I posted my review of Indestructible: Stingray #1, a one-shot about Stingray, the latest member of The League of Defender who has quite a few secrets up her sleeve . Coming soon: A review on Batman: Arkham Knight and a Kickstart the Week for Black Suit of Death #1. Here is the article I reprinted this week: Fatale Becomes Ongoing Series"I am not a Fatale fan. I did give pretty high praise to Fatale #1 and #2, but by Fatale #3 I lost interest. I don’t really know why, but it wasn’t pulling me in. But for fans who were sucked in by Fatale’s femme fatale Josephine and the mysterious plotline, rejoice, for the curse of the femme fatale is now ongoing – and will be revealed in four standalone flashback issues by Brubaker and Phillips!"

Here are the articles I reprinted this week: LDB Returns in The Li'l Depressed Boy: Supposed to Be There Too"The Li’l Depressed Boy (or, as his friends have called him, LDB) has returned in a new series, The Li’l Depressed Boy: Supposed to Be There Too. His creative team has returned as well. Shaun Steven Struble will write the series and the artwork will be done by Sina Grace." Batman: A Case Study on How NOT to Deal with Grief"For health class we were given the focus question “How can you demonstrate strategies of how to deal with grief?” We could use any type of examples we wanted so my first thought was, like any respectable fan, my first thoughts were to delve into the world of comic books. Specifically: Batman. He suffered a traumatic event when he was younger – his parents were shot down right in front of him! As a result, he dedicated his life to protecting others. However, that’s when I realized…" Making Money with The Walking Dead"During a recession in a down economy, you would hardly expect a comic no where near as ancient as the legendary Action Comics #1 from the 60s'. But The Walking Dead continues to defy expectations as both it's first issue and nineteenth issue recently sold for some surprising amounts. "
Another week has come and gone! This week I wrote a review for Zodiac Starforce #1 which is basically Dark Horse's take on Sailor Moon. I also Kickstarted the weekend with Bayani and The Nine Daughters of The Moon Volume 1. Coming soon: I will have yet another Kickstart the Week, this time for Blood Red Moon. I will also be reviewing Batman: Arkham Knight. Anonymous Donor Helps University of Oregon's Comic & Cartoon Studies"I really want to hug the anonymous donor who invested $200,000 to help keep the Comics & Cartoon Studies program. This is a minor about comic strips and graphic novels that can you can get by going to the University of Oregon (UO). The program was launched about a year ago and is the first of its kind. Not only does this donation help keep the program alive, it also will allow students in the minor to go to comic-related art exhibitions located at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art."
I'm back from a relaxing vacation which means the last week has been filled with a lot of reprinted articles... but I have been working on several articles! Expect to see a couple Kickstart the Week's for Bayani and The Nine Daughters of the Moon and Blood Red Moon. I am writing an advanced review for Zodiac Starforce #1 which is Dark Horse's take on Sailor Moon. I am also still working on completely Batman: Arkham Knight. It's no secret based on reviews that the game is fun, but I still have a lot (new) to say that will be written up soon! All these articles will be coming to you soon on Comic Frontline. Here are the articles I reprinted this week: Kiss Me, Satan! #1 Review: Werewolves and vampires and demons, oh my!"Looking for werewolves and vampires? No, you’re sick and tired of them? Well, you’re getting them anyway. This time with a mafia motif." Shotgun Wedding #1 Review: Starting Off Without a Hitch"I was happily surprised by the direction this mini-series has started off in.The concept sounded like it could be hit or miss and I thought it would be comedic, but instead we get a drama that is not as action-packed as I thought it would be... and believe it or not, that's mostly a good thing." Holy Matrimony the Shotgun Wedding Way"Published by Top Cow’s imprint Minotaur Press, Shotgun Wedding is a mini-series about love, loss and revenge. Writer William Harms (Impaler) and artist Edward Pun (Ninja High School) introduce us to our protagonist, assassin and Mike Stone. It’s his wedding day and everyone shows up… and unfortunately for him I mean everyone – friends, enemies and disgruntled ex-fiancées alike." Doctor Strange vs. Doctor Fate"This is the fourth installment of our versus feature where we judge two superheroes for their strengths and weaknesses and put them against each other in a play-by-play to see who would be the one and only winner. This week we have DC’s top magic-users versus Marvel’s Sorcerer Supreme. Who can win in this fight between two mystic entities?" Saint Chaos #2 Review: Horror with Heart"This comic is not for the faint of heart… its twisted imagery and emotionally charged story are for horror fans who want substance with their gore. I wish I had thought of this." Action Lab Heads Towards the Danger Zone"Action Lab Entertainment is known for all-ages books like the Eisner-nominated Princeless series that I’ve talked about time and again, but the Action Lab is a publisher that wants to dedicate itself to publishing not only books your children can read but also mature books. So, Action Lab has teamed up with Super Real Graphics publisher Jason Martin, who has accepted a position to lead Action Lab’s new mature line of comics known as Action Lab: Danger Zone." Victor Krall Creates the Perfect Woman in "Madame Frankenstein""Madame Frankenstein is an upcoming Image Comics series. This vintage-style horror drama takes place in 1932. Victor Krall’s lover has died but he’s not about to let that be the end of her. He decides to re-animate her. Unfortunately, that never seems to end well."
