Here are the articles I reprinted this week.
A tiring week this week, but I reprinted a couple of articles for your pleasure! Enjoy. Here are the articles I reprinted this week. Moriarty: The Lazarus Tree #7 Review "Moriarty #7 takes a much needed break from the dragging story arc “Lazarus Tree” with a lot of back story on Moriarty and his world travels. The story and artwork are very different from the usual Moriarty story, and the results are not as great as those from the first story arc, but Moriarty #7 still has an interesting story and solid artwork with a few awkward quirks." Who's Who Featuring Doctor Bong "In "Who’s Who" we talk about comic book characters you’ve never heard of – and this week we have some of the weirdest characters and teams you’ve never heard of from comics you have heard of, including Doctor Bong, Hellcow, Codpiece, Phone Ranger and Armless Tiger Man."

It's time for another update! This week I wrote an advanced review for Fight Like a Girl #1 which will be out in November for Comic Frontline. Here is the article I reprinted this week: Bedlam #1 Review "Madder Red might be the best new villain of this year; when he isn’t enjoying the sound of his own voice, that is. His words and actions in Bedlam are as terrifying and uncomfortably hilarious as the Joker’s are in Batman. Unfortunately, Madder Red just seems to love hearing himself talk… well, I don’t after several speech bubbles on one page, but he has his moments. But other than him and some stylish artistic choices, this comic doesn’t offer much else – and is a dragging double-sized 54 pages long."
I hope everyone is having a great Saturday! This week I wrote a review of the creepy sci-fi comic Wynter #1. Check it out on Comic Frontline. In the future I am planning on interviewing the creator of Wynter and CEO of New World Comics. I will also be reviewing the upcoming Action Lab Entertainment title Fight Like a Girl. Here is the article I reprinted this week: First Look: Whispers #1 "Another supernatural mini-series from Image Comics will be hitting the stands in January, 2012. It will be written by Joshua Luna (Girls), an acclaimed creator who usually collaborates on projects with his brother Jonathan Luna, but Joshua will be working alone as both the artist and writer of Whispers."
Happy Friday everyone! No new articles this week but I have some reprinted ones I think you'll all enjoy. Here are the articles I reprinted this week: You Missed that Issue?! Small Gods #1 "Welcome to another You Missed That Issue?! where I will talk about a comic within the past decade that is a modern classic but was unfortunately overlooked." Get Ready for Murder, Mayhem and Rehabilitation in Bedlam "Bedlam's set-up sounds like it's taking a twist on the usual murder mystery from Image Comics. In Bedlam, it's no mystery who has killed people and bathed the streets in blood: Filmore Press, a.k.a. Madder Red. Now, Filmore has been rehabilitated but the town of Bedlam needs some rehabilitation itself." Todd, the Ugliest Kid on Earth #2 Review "Such an interesting idea became a major disappointment with this issue, especially after such a superior first issue. While there are some clever moments, that’s not enough to make up for the toilet humor, the poor pacing and the sometimes distorted artwork."
