This time I kickstarted the week on Comic Frontline with The Legend of Everett Forge. Enjoy a journey to the 1800s in this steampunk western! Then my Kickstart the Week(end) enjoyed the antics of a robot PI via Copernicus Jones: Robot Detective Vol. 1.

Batman: Arkham Knight was also released this week and I have been enjoying playing through several hours of it (purely for reviewing purposes, of course). I am planning to review it after I complete the main story. But a little pre-review advice--I would definitely play all the former Batman games from Rocksteady Studios before playing this one.

"Its been awhile since I took a look at the lackluster Batman: The Dark Knight. There are so many more Batman-related series than there need to be. The only reason this used to stand out was because there would be cameos of Justice League characters like Superman, Wonder Woman and Flash. I gave up reviewing it as of issue 6. Since then, the stories have mostly been bland and forgettable. However, this issue introduces a new villain that I have to talk about."

"IDW Publishing has been releasing comic book series for 15 years. Now, they’ve decided to take another big step forward by launching a new division with the help of Pandasaurus Games: IDW Games."

"Of course DC wouldn't get rid of their most prolific jokester. Despite seemingly getting his face ripped off, the Joker will be returning in the "Death in a Family" story arc. The name could suggest a shock is on the way since the other similarly named story arc, "Death in the Family," ended with the death of Jason Todd (he's all better now, by the way). "

I have so many comics to review and so little time to write reviews around the online courses I'm taking this summer as well as organizing my comic book collection. Oh, and socializing and going outside to remember what the sun looks like. I guess I'm supposed to do that too. My challenge for myself going forward is to produce an article a day - whether it's a new article on Entertainment Fuse/Comic Frontline or a reprinted article on the Archives. 

This time I kickstarted the week on a Tuesday with Martian Comics #3 on Comic Frontline. I also wrote about Will Eisner’s The Spirit full creative team being revealed and ComixTribe's Oxymoron: The Loveliest Nightmare.

I even returned to writing news stories on Entertainment Fuse via Mulan: Revelations, a mini-series about Mulan featuring... cyberpunk? I also wrote about the 7-year-old who won $15,000 to publish her comic book. For real!

"Image Comics recently announced that they will be publishing, in conjunction with Shadowline Comics, a four-part zombie mini-series called Rebel Blood. The series will mimic such great horror classics as The Vault of Horror and Tales from the Crypt, and will be written by a newcomer to the comic book biz, Alex Link, and drawn by Riley Rossmo (Green Wake, Bedlam)."

This last two weeks I've been pretty busy. I posted an in-depth article about Kat West, aka Comic Uno. It covers her history as a comic book reviewer and how she published her first comic book, Like Father, Like Daughter. I also reviewed Marvel's Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. Exhibition.

On Friday I went to the 38th Annual Convention of the International Psychohistorical Association. I spoke about my work online and how the Internet has improved my personality and skills as a writer in my presentation, "Developing Competence, Confidence, and an Audience in Establishing My Online Identity." I owe it all to you guys - my writing wouldn't mean anything without an audience!

I also Kickstarted the Week(end) with The Standard Ultimate Collection.
