Here are the articles I reprinted this week:
I'm back from a relaxing vacation which means the last week has been filled with a lot of reprinted articles... but I have been working on several articles! Expect to see a couple Kickstart the Week's for Bayani and The Nine Daughters of the Moon and Blood Red Moon. I am writing an advanced review for Zodiac Starforce #1 which is Dark Horse's take on Sailor Moon. I am also still working on completely Batman: Arkham Knight. It's no secret based on reviews that the game is fun, but I still have a lot (new) to say that will be written up soon! All these articles will be coming to you soon on Comic Frontline. Here are the articles I reprinted this week: "Looking for werewolves and vampires? No, you’re sick and tired of them? Well, you’re getting them anyway. This time with a mafia motif." "I was happily surprised by the direction this mini-series has started off in.The concept sounded like it could be hit or miss and I thought it would be comedic, but instead we get a drama that is not as action-packed as I thought it would be... and believe it or not, that's mostly a good thing." "Published by Top Cow’s imprint Minotaur Press, Shotgun Wedding is a mini-series about love, loss and revenge. Writer William Harms (Impaler) and artist Edward Pun (Ninja High School) introduce us to our protagonist, assassin and Mike Stone. It’s his wedding day and everyone shows up… and unfortunately for him I mean everyone – friends, enemies and disgruntled ex-fiancées alike." "This is the fourth installment of our versus feature where we judge two superheroes for their strengths and weaknesses and put them against each other in a play-by-play to see who would be the one and only winner. This week we have DC’s top magic-users versus Marvel’s Sorcerer Supreme. Who can win in this fight between two mystic entities?" "This comic is not for the faint of heart… its twisted imagery and emotionally charged story are for horror fans who want substance with their gore. I wish I had thought of this." "Action Lab Entertainment is known for all-ages books like the Eisner-nominated Princeless series that I’ve talked about time and again, but the Action Lab is a publisher that wants to dedicate itself to publishing not only books your children can read but also mature books. So, Action Lab has teamed up with Super Real Graphics publisher Jason Martin, who has accepted a position to lead Action Lab’s new mature line of comics known as Action Lab: Danger Zone." "Madame Frankenstein is an upcoming Image Comics series. This vintage-style horror drama takes place in 1932. Victor Krall’s lover has died but he’s not about to let that be the end of her. He decides to re-animate her. Unfortunately, that never seems to end well." "Witches have become popular recently thanks to American Horror Story: Coven. It seems like the perfect time for Scott Snyder to unveil his latest horror comic book series Wytches."
