Here are the articles I reprinted this week:
Happy holidays everyone! Finally getting in the holiday spirit around here... when I'm not studying for finals. This week I wrote an article on Comic Frontline about IDW Publishing and Yoe Books new collection, The Untold History of Black Comic Books. Here are the articles I reprinted this week: "The writer of Barbarian, Scott Amundson, and the artist of Milt, Joie Simmons, are coming together for their latest venture, and they need their readers help! " "This is definitely not a happy story, nor is it a children's story. So much happens in this issue that leaves me sitting there at the end wondering A) What the hell did I just read? B) What's going to happen next? and C) Did I take acid without knowing it before I read this?" "So, riddle me this. What do you get when you scrunch a two-part story in before the anniversary 700th issue of the Bat? A rushed story that had a lot of potential and still manages to be entertaining. We were introduced last issue to a new face, Sebastian Blackspell. He copied other previous super-villain fans of the series we know: Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze, and a dramatic ending with Blackspell using Joker's toxins on the Riddler, and now the Riddler's disappeared. Is this the Riddler's return to super villainy? You'll have to read the comic to find out." "A robot turns into a boat and slices through a giant woman’s torso. Need it say more about how awesomely odd KRAK #1 is…? Despite it’s missed opportunities." "DC Comics has lost plenty of its creative contributors since the New 52 began. There was John Rozum who left Static Shock, James Robinson who departed from Earth 2, Rob Liefeld who wrote three DC Comics titles including Deathstroke, The Savage Hawkman and Grifter. The list goes on. Now, Paul Jenkins has joined the bandwagon of people leaving DC. "
