Here are the articles I reprinted this week:
Happy Friday everybody! I can feel the holiday spirit in the air. This week on Comic Frontline I wrote about Marvel publishing some comic book based novels that feature original stories such as Deadpool: Paws. Here are the articles I reprinted this week: "This horror title from Top Cow will feel oddly familiar to Image fans: the art, plot and dialogue are all reminiscent of one of the many series from Image which came out in the 90's. These titles ranged from downright stupid to sub-par, and sub-par is where Mysterious Ways #1 is. The art is mediocre and the characters somewhat stereotypical, but some interesting elements are introduced that make the next issue something to look forward to, if only slightly." "Moriarty leaves me feeling like an incompetent oaf yet again. Our suave and arrogant detective draws confusing conclusions from thin air, the story only slightly progresses, several characters that I did not even know existed say their farewells, and we end this mostly boring but sophisticated issue with a fantastically nightmarish hallucination which almost makes the rest of the issue worth it. Unfortunately, almost is all writer Daniel Corey gets." "On July 31st the Derry/Londonderry based media studio and comic book publisher Uproar Comics will be releasing the DEC (Digital Experience Comic), an app the publisher claims will bring comic books to life."
