Here are the articles I reprinted this week:
Everyone ready for the weekend? Well, enjoy some of my reprinted reviews! If you have any comments about the reviews or the site feel free to type your comments in below. Also, check out my recent article about the upcoming Image Comics series Dream Police on Comic Frontline. Here are the articles I reprinted this week: Deadlands: Death was Silent One-Shot Review "Stop me if you’ve heard this one – a mute gun slinger goes into a bar to shoot dozens of plant people with his undead brother slung over his horse with more plant people coming to… Never heard of it? Well, Deadlands: Death Was Silent has it – and much more. There are many Western horror comics and while this issue falls into a few of the clichéd pitfalls of the genre, it manages to pull itself out with numerous creative ideas. But it still has some frustrating artwork and a second story that shows just how great the first story was by making the second, a much less enjoyable story, easily pale in comparison." Doctor Who #7 Review "Doctor Who #7 is a decent addition to the sci-fi library of comics but is cluttered with problems. The issue fails to bring the same charm the popular show has with characters lacking an interesting spark. There are still great intellectual elements and the design of the Tardis and other dimensions are creative, but the overall art is not detailed enough, especially regarding the characters. Still, the story is solid and the Doctor is fun – and he's gotten himself into another mess, of course." Danger Club #1 Review "Danger Club’s premise must have intrigued everyone (including myself) into trying out the debut issue since it was a sell-out. But is it worth that status, or does the exceptional premise’s pages harbor disappointment? With so many hard-to-find elements like intriguing (but not yet in-depth) characters, silent artwork, and a unique premise, Danger Club #1 proves it is not a disappointment, but the beginning of a violent teen-hero tale that could become a worthy companion to series like Kick Ass."
