Here are the articles I reprinted this week:
I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend! A big thanks to everyone who has been coming to the site, the stats over the last couple of weeks have been great and I appreciate anyone who takes the time to pay a visit to Comic Maven's Archives! As always, if you'd like to see any changes or have anything else you'd like to share feel free to include your respectful opinion in the comments below. Here are the articles I reprinted this week: A Comic's Cover is Worth 300,000 Words... and Dollars "A cover from the famous Robinson collection (Jerry Robinson is the creator of The Joker) of comics will be coming up for auction. The comic, Detective Comics #67, only has a cover, and is expected to draw $300,000. Robinson was the artist of the cover and one of the original members of the Batman legacy, helping create the Joker and co-create the first Robin, Dick Grayson." Mara #1 Review "I know when I go back and re-read this review to edit it I will have felt I spent more time reading this than the first issue of Mara. That is how short it felt. But is it short and sweet? Not exactly." Batman: The Dark Knight #4 Review "I can not take this issue seriously. Finally, after numerous cameos, artwork focused only on beauty and a needlessly complex storyline, this issue reaches the epitome of punch-lines... and I can't wait to read more!" Hack/Slash #5 Review "Fantomah, Mystery Woman of the Jungle, returns in Hack/Slash #5 and brings an interesting self-contained story, giving us a breather from the usually very involved story arcs previously produced from the series. But if the issue’s intent was to get more readers for Hack/Slash, it failed."
