Spider-Girl #1 Review
"When a cover like this one boasts “the only things standing between you and the most synapse-shattering super hero debut of the decade are your hands and this cover” it is a little too enthusiastic, but partially true which is surprising considering there are many things that could turn a reader off right away. Like the fact that May “Mayday” Parker has been abandoned for the already frequently appearing Anya Corazon."
Batman: The Dark Knight #1 Review
"If you're looking for nothing new, Batman: The Dark Knight will heavily supply you with overused ideas that everyone has seen before in a Batman comic. This issue starts the series off to an okay note, but is easily overshadowed by the awesomeness that is Batman #1. The only thing this issue does manage to do better at times is the great artwork from David Finch, who manages to draw beautiful women and Arkham's deadly inmates well."
Female Writers Unite for Legends of Red Sonja
"Recently Red Sonja was rebooted by Gail Simone (Birds of Prey, Suicide Squad, Batgirl). Dynamite Comics has announced they will be following up on the ongoing series with a prestige mini-series, Legends of Red Sonja, which will feature an onslaught of all female writers. Yes, female writers in comics (besides Gail Simone) do exist!"
