Comics and Their Reviews Scores
The following list was written on the Comic Book forum on Player Affinity before it became Entertainment Fuse and was written by Kevin Beckham, not me.
Have you ever read a review in the Comics Section and thought, "I sure do wounder what they're trying to tell me with these numbers?" Well here is a scale and a little on what each number means. Also there are times where scores will fall with a point. I.E 8.5-- Basically that just means it's a little better than good but just not really great.
10 - Classic
As close to perfect as a comic can get - Story, art, presentation are all a thing of wonder. Buy it before it's a movie.
9 - Outstanding
A top tier title that shouldn't be missed. All the kids are talking about it and they want more!
8 - Great
Easily getting a second printing. --Worth any comic fan's time and money.
7 - Good
A solid book overall, might not be for everyone but does have a fan base and they will definitely enjoy.
6 - Satisfactory
A title that's not for everyone, has a few stand out moments. Maybe if you have a few extra bucks it's worth picking it up.
5 - Average
It's a comic, it has colors, art and pages, it's not good but it's not really bad-- about 85% books out there fall into this range.
4 - Below Average
A below average comic that leaves no sense emotion in any form-- Bland all around and easily forgettable.
3 - Whatever
Could have been something really great but the book really didn't come together in any way and it shows. Welcome to the dollar bin.
2 - Bad
Sloppy art, unintelligible story and creates anger within the reader due to such blasphemy.
1 - Avoid
There's just no easy way to put it nicely, a terrible comic. This book set comics back at least ten years.
