The first Saturday in May this year (May 7th, 2011) will be Free Comic Book Day. The comics and their sponsors have been announced! This year you will be treated to reprints of classic and new comics. What free comics will you be able to get your hands on this May?
From Ape Entertainment you are treated to a comic spin-off of the animated movie starring Jack Black: Kung-Fu Panda. Archaia Entertainment will have another free Mouse Guard Flip-Book this year. Betty and Veronica join the free comic book fray from Archie comics, Darkwing Duck from Boom! Studios, Avatar the Last Airbender from Dark Horse Comics, and a giant-sized Locke & Key issue from IDW. Spider-man even spins another web onto free comic book day! View a full list of titles in a special “Previews” issue from Diamond Comic Distributors’, released on December 29, 2010. “Previews” features the listing of ten Gold and 27 Silver comic books and a Green Lantern figure!
