Happy #3 Sells Out
News by: Nicole D'Andria (Originally posted on January 9th, 2013)
Happy #3 was the first issue of the mini-series written by Grant Morrison (Batman and Robin, All-Star Superman) and drawn by Darick Robertson (The Boys, Transmetropolitan) to grab me and have me wanting more. Thankfully, this is the issue of Happy that has sold out at the distributor level. Happy is a dark Christmas tale about a cop turned hitman whose lost everything. Now, with several groups of people both on the right and wrong sides of the law, want him dead. But that’s not even the worst part for our Scrooge-like protagonist: a tiny (and annoying) blue horse who only he can see and hear needs his help. The comic came out on December 19th and will have a second printing in stores on January 30th. It was suggested that a lot of thanks for the sold-out book go out to reviewers. A lot of the “big-names” in comic book reviewing have been praising the book, like Comic Book Resources. For my take on Happy #3, read my review here. |
